Survey Meetings are events held in Diamond no Kuni no Alice. The events take place at a coliseum in the Castle of Diamond's territory. During the event, five attributes of each territory are assessed, Military Strength, Natural Resources, Population, Economic Power, and Technological Strength.
Rules and Arrangements[]
The survey meeting is split into two sections:
- The assessment - The leaders of each territory pick a card with one of five attributes, and use that to compete with the other territories to see which one earns the highest score in said category. This score is determined by how much sand falls into an hourglass that represents each territory. Once the hourglasses fill up, the scores are compared.
- Betting - Individuals bet on who they think will win each round of the Survey Meeting, or they can bet on which place (first, second, third, etc.) a specific territory will come in. It is perfectly fine to bet on enemy territories. With this in mind, the territory leaders will often not come out swinging and instead wait until several rounds later to use their best resource to keep things interesting.[1]
Since Outsiders disrupt time, they can also disrupt the Survey Meetings. Having an outsider use the card instead of one of the territory leaders will have completely random results. The hourglass may overflow, or it may do little to nothing. Note, this is shown in the Bet On My Heart novel, though it may not be shown in the game itself.
